Here are a few of the positions we have open immediately in Seattle and Portland:

Editorial Internship
CityDog Magazine editorial interns are smart, reliable and detail-oriented -- they love writing and are willing to work closely with editorial staff to ensure every issue is as perfect as possible. Primary responsibilities include researching and writing about cool, new pet products, covering our calendar of events in print and online, contributing to the front-of-book as skills permit including Bark of the Town, Deluxe Digs, Doggone Getaway, Unleashed and The Scoop. Also, you will be proofreading, fact-checking, covering local events, blogging, and working on a variety of projects as they arise, so this position requires someone who is flexible and can take assignments as they come, with some weekday evenings and weekend work.

Photography Internship
The ideal candidate for this position is flexible, organized and patient. Why patient? Because you will be photographing dogs -- a lot of dogs -- which will require a lot of patience! You also have to be open on some weekday evenings and weekends. Depending on your level of experience and skill, you’ll be helping us with a variety of photography needs including editorial-style images for print, product/still photography for our cool products section, individual "model" shots at our CityDog Cover Dog Model Search, and capturing the overall atmosphere and fun at CityDog Muttmixers. Post production skills in Photoshop and turning in your work on a tight deadline is also a must.

Social Media Internship
Daily responsibilities will include posting blogs, scheduling content, proofreading, researching, some photography, learning and implementing SEO, conducting analytics reports, and brainstorming ways to improve our digital presence through social strategy. Experience in WordPress, Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest is preferred. Experience in developing infographics is a plus, but not required. You also have to be open on some weekday evenings and weekends.

For all of the above positions, we highly recommend acquainting yourself with CityDog Magazine, whether it's our print magazine (current issue here), our online editorial content, upcoming events and the CityDog Blog.
