It’s that time of year again, when dogs do leaps and bounds all in the name of cancer. The annual Pepper/Sampson Memorial Classic NADAC Agility Trial is set to take place, with proceeds benefiting the Morris Animal Foundation, a non-profit organization that invests in science to improve animal health. The dog agility event will be held July 27th-29th at the University of Nevada-Reno campus in the Women’s Sport Complex.
This year marks the 12th anniversary, which to date has raised more than $114,000 for canine lymphoma research. Lymphoma is currently the number one cancer affecting our furry four-legged friends, which is why event organizers Lin and Greg Battaglias teamed up with the Morris Animal Foundation to continue their fundraising efforts in the fight against canine cancer.
In 2000, after losing their beloved pups, Sampson and Pepper, to lymphoma, the Battaglias and Singers, began hosting the memorial agility event to raise money for canine cancer research. Each year this great event rallies hundreds of supporters and showcases the amazing talents of man’s best friend.
So join us in the fight against canine cancer and help in giving hounds a longer, healthier, cancer-free life! Woof!
