Morgan Junction Community Festival; West Seattle, Wash. 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Free. Come visit the CityDog Magazine booth and say hi, see our new Boxer on a Bike Tee Shirts, enjoy some music, and get to know businesses and people in the neighborhood.
Cider Summit PDX; Portland, Ore. 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: $30. Sample a superb range of ciders, listen to live music, and enjoy good food with your pooch. THE EVENT IS 21 & OVER ONLY. Dogs of all ages will be allowed on event grounds.
Dachshunds on Parade; Ellensburg, Wash. 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost: $5 donation. Once again, the intersection of 4th and Main will be turned into the center of dachshund paradise as dachshunds and their owners come together to celebrate and enjoy the aarade and other festivities.
Sunday, June 22
Fremont Fair Sunday Dog Parade; Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Wash. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: Free (or $10 for the pet parade). The Fremont Fair, celebrating its 43rd year, is a celebration of Fremont’s “delibertas quirkas” (freedom to be peculiar). Dress your dog up in their quirky best and join the Dog Parade at 2 p.m. Register next to the Waterfront Stage from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. A $10 registration fee benefits Citizens for Off Leash Areas, and is required per dog family. CityDog will be there with a booth, so come by and say hi!
American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life; Juanita, Wash. 10 a.m. Cost: $20 per dog. The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life is a fundraising event honoring the life-long contributions of our canine caregivers. Come walk with your pooch for a good cause. Love dogs but do not have one? No worries. Everyone is welcome to participate!
