Muffin’s Halo for Blind Dogs helps dogs who can’t see gain some freedom back by giving them confidence and helping to keep them safe.
Muffin’s Halo for Blind Dogs fits similar to a harness and has a ring, or “halo,” mounted to it that surrounds the dog’s head. The halo bumps into an object before the dog’s head does so it acts like a warning sensor.
The device is lightweight and comfortable with adjustable Velcro straps. Soft angel wings are mounted to the body to protect the dog’s head and shoulder area. The device does not hinder the dog’s normal activity.
Muffin’s Halo was invented out of love by concerned dog owner, Silvie Bordeaux, when her 13 year old dog developed cataracts and could no longer see. Her dog Muffin began bumping into walls, falling down stairs, and becoming depressed and immobile. Muffin’s Halo changed his life and now Silvie is dedicated to assisting blind and visually impaired dogs and their caring owners.
